What’s the difference in the control system of EI process line and the competitive machines?
The software and automation. That is what allows fast and smooth loading without downtimes. Automatics control compost and peat not only during loading on the shelves, but also while transporting to the headfiller, ensuring that there is always a sufficient amount of output. This guarantees the even structure on the shelves, and therefore – bigger and more stable yields.
How do the machines work together?
The EI machines constitute one process line. They are controlled and synchronized by the headfiller’s computer, which ensures proper operation of the entire system.
How does it check the levels of compost and peat on the trays?
As opposed to the ones of our competition, EI machines use precise ultrasonic sensors, constantly controlling levels of compost and peat on the trays. The headfiller’s computer ensures proper filling of the trays, by controlling levels of the output (not only at the moment of its moving under the sensor, but also earlier). Moreover, level of the output is controlled over the entire width of the headfiller.
Is it possible to regulate individual sections of the headfiller?
Yes. All sections are controlled electrically by the headfiller’s computer. Operating hours and activation time of particular sections can be adjusted by the user.
How is the equal filling of the compost container realized?
Conveying belt spreading compost can work in 2 modes. The first one is smooth movement from left to right. The second one is an intelligent mode, which uses ultrasonic sensors. With the sensors, headfiller’s computer controls where amount of the compost on the belt is not sufficient, then adds compost in places requiring it.
Is it possible to change the position of ruffling/ levelling modules?
We offer the possibility of non-invasive relocation of the levelling modules to a place more suitable for the technology used in the particular mushroom farm. Moreover, it is possible to assemble two ruffling rollers on the bow ramp.
How do you realize the drive of ruffling and levelling rollers?
We made sure that buying HERCULES would directly influence the growing results. All rollers are driven by drum motors, which unlike hydraulic drives, allow precise regulation of rotation speed.
How do you realize the belts’ drive?
Each belt is driven separately. Thanks to the mechanical transmissions, work of the drive unit does not require human operation.
What type of oil tank is used in the headfiller?
Stainless steel – corrosion resistant.
Is it possible to drive the headfiller with raised main frame?
No. It would be dangerous, therefore such option is blocked. Sensors control the position of the frame and do not allow driving when it is up.
What secures the main frame from falling?
Besides advanced hydraulics and standard protections, in Hercules we used double chain, which additionally secures the main frame from falling.
Can I review the work of multi-roller module or the elements of the electric cabinet?
No. Due to safety reasons such possibility is blocked. Electric cabinets and covers of the multi-roller modules are equipped with magnetic limit switches, which, in case of disconnecting, send a STOP signal to the machine.
Is it possible that the machine will spontaneously go down when standing on hydraulic stands?
No. We have secured this element of the machine with safety valves. There is no need to control blockage of the machine on the ground. We took care of it.
What if the cable responsible for the headfiller’s security buttons gets damaged?
We have secured the machine against this eventuality using a two-way electrical safety system that minimizes the risk of failure.
